How often?

As a guide, manufacturers recommend about 6 to 8 weeks during the mowing season. Sooner if there is gravel, stones, sand or lots of twigs in the lawn.

How to spot blunt blades

  • The grass tips look frayed or brownish after mowing.
  • The blades show nicks, bends or rounded edges.
  • The mower runs rougher or louder than usual.

How to change the blades

  1. Switch the mower off and secure it against being switched on.
  2. Wear protective gloves, the blades are sharp.
  3. Carefully place the mower on a soft surface, underside up.
  4. Unscrew the old blades with a Phillips screwdriver.
  5. Change all blades and screws at the same time so the disc runs evenly.
  6. Screw on the new blades, turn the disc by hand and check that nothing rubs.

Our gold-coloured stainless steel blades measure 35 × 18 × 0.75 mm and fit all common robotic mowers with an M4 blade screw. Replacement blades are available in the shop, and the installation guide explains every step.

Tip

A set of fresh blades at the start of the season in spring and then regularly as a guide value keeps the cut clean.
