How often?
As a guide, manufacturers recommend about 6 to 8 weeks during the mowing season. Sooner if there is gravel, stones, sand or lots of twigs in the lawn.
How to spot blunt blades
- The grass tips look frayed or brownish after mowing.
- The blades show nicks, bends or rounded edges.
- The mower runs rougher or louder than usual.
How to change the blades
- Switch the mower off and secure it against being switched on.
- Wear protective gloves, the blades are sharp.
- Carefully place the mower on a soft surface, underside up.
- Unscrew the old blades with a Phillips screwdriver.
- Change all blades and screws at the same time so the disc runs evenly.
- Screw on the new blades, turn the disc by hand and check that nothing rubs.
Our gold-coloured stainless steel blades measure 35 × 18 × 0.75 mm and fit all common robotic mowers with an M4 blade screw. Replacement blades are available in the shop, and the installation guide explains every step.
Tip
A set of fresh blades at the start of the season in spring and then regularly as a guide value keeps the cut clean.
